Nice to MET you

This week the annual Met Gala took place in NY. This year it was SUPPOSED to be all about Alexander McQueen. Even if you are not a lover of fashion you know about this late designer and his designs. Alexander always designed out of the box and his aesthetic is one of a kind.

I have to admit I was a little sad that not many attendees came in the feature designer duds. After all if you are going to pay homage to someone please wear his clothes and make them look flawless.
I did see a few daring outfits and here are a few of my favorites.

Daphne guinness in Alexander McQueen

Anna Dello Russo in Alexander McQueen

Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen

Selma Hayek in Alexander McQueen

SJP in Alexander McQueen

All five of these ladies were dressed amazing! Sadly I can't say the same about the following ladies. And I love all three of them.coming right of the royal wedding weekend many women wished they could have a fairytale wedding..sadly I think Serena Williams took it literally. This dress and the fascinator would look amazing in a bridal magazine but not on the red carpet.

I also love my ladies with curves and I'm sad about these next two ladies Beyonce wore a dress that shows off her body but it only works if she stands perfectly still I wonder how she was able to even use the bathroom??? Ladies if you want a dress to show of your curves please make sure you can at least walk gracefully because there is nothing cute about "dress to tight shuffle"

Christina Hendricks drives men Mad :) but not in this brown/copper getup that manages to hide her curves and washes out her beautiful hair and porcelain skin

Overall the fashion as always was amazing and makes me more determined than ever to grace these red stairs one day. And that's my thought on the matter.
